A New Dio

Description

This is my character Dio, created back in highschool. There are still some old drawings in my "Oh so OLD" folder XD
Spent about an hour drawing him and 30 mins to slap color on him.

In the begining he was made in an anime style, since like so many that is a style that inspired me as a child and does still today, but I feel it is time he takes on his own style and look so he wont become just another Anime OC in my pile of doodles. It was weired looking at the finished product..so different from how he has always been drawn. XD

He's actually the star of my personal anime/Manga/comic series. which can be found on The Otaku site [link]

It hasn't been updated in over a year and was a highschool project that I finally had the balls to post online. Feel free to check out his origins, I really want to redo and complete his story. So feel free to critique as well!!!! Be warned though this is OLD, there are bad little kid drawings/attempts at digital screentoning/bad photoshop/misspellings like crazy! in it.

But I appriciate you taking the time to look at it and giving opinions on how he can be approved, I'm working on more drawings of him and the rest of the cast so I appologise for all the Dio posts that are soon to come..I just love him and you know how that goes =D

I DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD A COMIC. NOW I MUST READ IT XD

I will say I do agree that this style is more interesting than the style on the cover at The Otaku! And I love the textures in the background, as well as the texture of the sketch itself, there's something about traditional lines that's so pretty. Awesome blue tones too, I like the subtle change in color in the hair!

Profiles are hard to draw, I think it's one of the toughest angles of the face to capture (aside from under the chin and from the top of the head). The ear looks a little low and the eye is a bit far from the bridge of the nose. I see a ton of improvement from when you were drawing the original! Looking forward to hearing more about the project revamp! C:
